Welcome David
David,
Sounds to me as if you are off to a good start.
I'd like to welcome you to this rather weird collection of characters
that inhabit this list and know a remarkably great amount about a
whole bunch of things, including IHC's. Their recent showing off in
regard to 60's, 70's and 80's music has been a little unnerving to me.
At that time, I didn't even know the bands they are talking about even
existed. (Oh, all right, I did know about the Credence and Marshall
Tucker, but .......... ) Personally, I was driving from place to place
showing slide shows I had created accompanied by the music of the
First Edition, Kingston Trio ("the lion still rules the barranca, and
a man there is never alone") and such, but no matter, we usually get
back to IHC's sooner or later.

Subject: I am Really Going To Be a Scout Owner
After a year of looking around, and six months of serious looking and
waiting I am actually going to get my Scout next weekend. It is the 76
Spirit that I mentioned before. 345 4 barrel, t-19 wide, dayna 20,
31's,
and a decent body that spent most of it's life in Arizona. The problem
with the #8 cylinder has been fixed and the engine is running like it
should again. First on my to-do list will be spring bushings, door
seals, and a paint job. I am sure that I will have lots of questions
for
the digest in the coming weeks. I am acting proactivly though, and
will
be ordering a shop manual from Super Scouts on Monday.

7 days until I pick up my Scout!
