I'd just ball hone #1 cylinder, get a new piston, rings, an exhaust AND
intake valve, a wrist pin.
Take off the oil pump and douche it out with brake cleaner. Block off the
oil feed hole for the pump. Take the oil filter off and block off the bypass
port. Unscrew the oil pressure sender and hook a brake clean nozzle into the
hole (clamp it sealed). Douche it down in there with 2-3 cans. Take off the
oil pickup tube and douche it out with cleaner too.

Slap it back together, prime the oil pump for a good while and go to town.


OR. Pull the rod, piston bits, #1 lifters, and pushrods, put in a new intake
and exhaust valve and run on 5 cylinders. Limp it home if it's not too far.
