Good plan, Epp. I might be inclined to weld n' bolt the angle to the
side of the frame and then use a piece of 2" internal width channel to
keep the buggy leaf in position. The Buggy *will* twist a little when
you extend it.. and you really do want it resting in a good spot.
I'm not positive you'd need to dump the stock rear mount. I think you
could cut off the "spring eye" portion (which, like up front, is just
welded to the bracket) and use that as the rearmost mounting point for
your angle.
Why wouldn't a front buggy work so well? Back to my previous example.
You have the buggy leaf extended from the frame (tire on a hole) and you
start pushing forward to get out of the hole. You've extended the buggy
so far that the tire and spring combination won't come UP and *FORWARD*
to lay the buggy leaf flat again.. instead, the buggy would bend even
*further* down which would eventually (or immediately) lead to failure
of the buggy leaf - either a clean break, or a serious bend of the leaf
spring - which, on a front, could lead to some serious handling
"quirks"..
I'm starting to wonder how "gnarly" to take a "daily driver" before I
run into some "issues" that might make this a not-so-good idea..
