1. why not just use the ZF 5 speed that Ford uses, which is a natural mate
with the 7.3?? The 7.3 uses an SAE
#3 pattern flywheel housing, so there are lots of other possibilities--
2.PLUS--I would be VERY surprised if Chevy or Dodge does not use the
NV-4500 on something that uses an SAE #3 housing--like, say, a
Dodge-Cummins, so why wait/pay more to Advance?? There should be plenty of
NV-4500/SAE #3 clutch housings out there in bone yards.
3. Be aware that the 7.3 is a diesel conversion of the IHC 404/446 gas
motor--they are built on the same tooling. So--if you want the torque
without the stink and the smoke, where one will go, so will the other!
