RE: views on ford front dana 44 and Dana 60 front

John,  The CT-402 IH spec book I have dated 12-71 lists 3 Dana 44's for IH.
They all have different thickness wall.  The FA-44 for Scouts is .312.  The
FA-45 and FA-46 for the 1110 and 1210 are .375 and the FA-18 and FA-25 are
listed as HD 44 and are .500.  FA-18 and FA-25 have bigger knuckles than the
45 and 46 and were std. on Travelette and optional on regular 1210.  It also
lists the FA-52 for the 1310 4X4 which is a Dana 70F and it has a .375 thick
wall.

Had to add that in, I couldn't imagine Chevy's had anything over IH.

wall than a IH? How big is the IH dana 44? I know you said the chevs had .5
wall thickness.>
