Scout Toys/Scout Soft Tops

Scouters (and IHC'ers),
    I had long believed that no real IHC Scout toys existed, with the
exception of the plastic model kit and the Micro Machine travel-all.  I now
have seen a picture of a genuine Scout (Traveler) toy.   Unfortunately, it
is on eBay, the auction site, and well beyond what I can afford to pay for a

Secondly, is there any unified opinion on the best soft top kit?  Any hints,
tips, etc.?  A FAQ anywhere?  What about the soft doors?  What is necessary?
Loads of questions, I know, but this is the ultimate IHC information source,
right?
