Ramsey Winch question

I just passed up what is probably a good deal: $300 for a 1 year old Ramsey
8000 lb winch and a homemade winch bumper.  I didn't like the weight and
poor construction of the bumper, and would like a winch with a little more
than 8000 lbs.  Plus, the line was heavily abraided, and probably needed to
be replaced.

Anyone know much about Ramsey winches?  Can the models from recent years be
easily mounted in a receiver cradle?
