IHers,

Thanks for the antenna lessons. I will be getting a SWR meter this 
weekend and testing the two antennas I have. I have a magnetic mount 
with a 4' whip in the middle of the top and a 6' with a rain gutter 
mount that I will install to test. Might try putting the 6' on the 
magnetic base and see what happens. Sounds like the middle of the top is 
the best area if I want to maximize ground plane.
