Skip,
   You can't bolt in a Jeep tranny because the bellhousing is wrong. You
can rebuild the Scout tranny housing with Jeep guts, if they made a 727
with overdrive. I heard a rumor somewhere about someone putting next
gereration 4sp 727 guts in a Scout housing. I just don't remember what
it was or how they did it.
