The biggest advantage to powder coating is a finish that resists corrosion
on the exterior.Powder coating is a very heavy finish,so do not use it where
weight is a consideration.
We powder coat parts for Freightliner and KW,these parts are used in
applications ranging from heater and a/c,exhaust,intake, to turbo parts.
Powder coating is not as scratch resistant or flawless as people
think, depending on the product, the material it's being applied to,and the
operator doing the spraying (or adjusting the guns).
If the finish is not properly cured,it will have a very high sheen, almost
glass like.
