Phill,

	I had a similar problem with my '73 Scout II with a 304.  I tried everything,
vaccuum leaks, timing, everything.  We eventually solved the problem by
finding out that the carb we had was the wrong one and that our distributor
needed to be replaced.  After doing both of those she now runs like a dream.
