Regarding Tom Harais' comment about work inflexibility 
...indeed, to be told "We'll see" to your work schedule leave
request is the ultimate PITA.  I can fully relate.
Unfortunately, most of us wage slaves are stuck here.

I love work; it's the employment I can't stand.

This is what I have come to like most of this digest ...the
different way of looking at things.  Damn too much consideration 
here ...no one has made disparaging comments about my turning a 
Scout2 into a tomato garden and reading sun deck.  So accomodating, 
so accepting, kinda' scary.  Here I sit and wonder if I can go cross 
country in a Scout ...it is a giant step when you barely limp 
across the backyard on the starter motor.
