Scout II for sale....continued

IH all,
Brian S. came down from Vale, Co. today to look at the Scout II here in
Grand Junction. We, after pretty much all day, couldn't even get it to turn
over.
Seems that we replaced the bad starter with a bad starter. And all of you
know how hard it is to pull a starter out of a 345 with dual headers!
Anyways,
I just wanted to get some input, just in case.
If it's not the starter, what could be the problem? There is juice, all
wires on the starter are tight. We even have a remote starter switch. We
turn the key, and all it goes is "click, click, click". The first starter
wouldn't disengage the selenoid after shutting it off, we had to unhook the
battery. Any Ideas?
OBTW,
Brian S. has one of the nicest Scout II's I've ever seen!
Had I seen one like his, I probably would have never bought an 800!
All in all it was great having a list member come for a visit. Even though
we didn't actually accomplish anything, it was fun. I'm looking forward to
RMHR!
Matt Sopher
