If you guys want the facts on Beef production, I've got the guy to ask.
My dad, Paul Moe - now retired from the USDA, developed the modern
formulas for feeding cattle for maximum caloric efficiency (or something
like that - I didn't pay much attention to it when I was a kid - but it
was some big deal at the time). If you want some insight, I might be
able to convince him to chime in.

Oh, and while he was still working the family farm in IA, they replaced
their old '51 Ford F-100 with a shiny new Golden Jubilee. He hated his
father for it, 'cuz they couldn't go out joy riding anywhere in the
county without being recognized. Couldn't get away with anything.
