Motor mounts (i.e., asleep at the switch)

Pardon me, but I wasn't paying any attention to the motor/tranny mount
thread and I just noticed that it was for a truck that I happen to have.
Oops.

I looked at ALL my trucks and it seems to be that '67/'68 had doggie bones,
and the '70, 72 (which matches your truck exactly except for the 392), and
'73 have what is really clearly a huge horseshoe. So I guess they went from
doggie bones to the horseshoe in '69.

Your ASCII seems to be just the rubber block the horseshoe sits on. The
horseshoe itself sits vertically on a base. Really looks like a trophy for
a draft-horse pulling contest. The base has the two holes you show and is
bolted down to the crossmember. The engine mount bolts are inserted
horizontially and fairly high up, so therefore the horseshoe shape (to go
'round the pulley).

I didn't get the history of this truck.. did you get it with the engine out
or no engine or something?
