        I do NOT hate cats.  Just ones that PISS all over the inside 
     of cars.  If owners made the homes more comfy, the car wouldn't 
     seem an option.
     
        I'll check on the desiccant.  The guy in the lab told me it 
     was NaOH.  Whatever the heck it is, it keeps my truck, dry and 
     smelling fresh!  My Dad has an OZONE generator too.  That works 
     really well.
     
        Good luck with the cats.  Round my folks' house where my stuff 
     is stored, we have packrats.  These things eat anything.  They 
     ate the end of the hose on the radiator neck.  Little nibble 
     marks all over.  If you leave shoes out, they'll eat the laces, 
     AND the leather.  Forget about tassels on loafers, gone.  They 
     even at the insulation off the ENTIRE wiring harnes from a 
     motorcycle I had stored in my parts yard.  The entire harness is 
     all bare copper now.  Individual strands, all bare.
