Hmm.. funny.. someone said they had one, and it had a '60 rear.. might
not have been 67-72, but it was right around then.. hmmmm...

Paul Weitlauf was the man that made the claim.. said he had a couple
like that but had sold 'em off...

The Dodges did? *Finally* a confirmation. :-)

I was thinking you could just get a Dana 70 axle shaft that would work,
too.. and cut it down.

OK.. you said the J10 axles are 4" wider than the T'all though.. and the
T'all was just slighly narrower than the Big 3, so... the Jeep J10 1/2T
pickup was wider than a Chevy?.. or am I misreading something..

No kiddin! I'd have to cut the wheel wells just to keep the tires from
cutting apart on the fender lip since they wouldn't stuff! ;-) And
here I am, going from a Scout II chassis that already lost all of the
bed and inner metal stuff (the outer rear quarters were attached via
some box tubing welded to the sheet metal and the frame to hold 'em at
about the right spot.. the main part of the bed is still there, but no
inner quarters) to one that has a tub... sheesh, I should've hauled the
tub back east n' sold it as a "Rust Free Tub" for a few hundred bones.
