Tranny rebuild ?

O.K. guys,
I have my tranny down and in the basement and I'm pulling it apart. I
have the valve body off and I'll have the rear output housing off
tommorrow night.
To remove the pump housing from the case you are supposed to take 2
slide hammers and thread them into two of the holes on the pump and pop
the pump out.
So, my question is, since I don't have ONE slide hammer, let alone
two, what can I do to remove the pump housing? I was kinda thinking a
couple pieces of bolt rod with something slid down the rods that I could
use. Any ideas?
How about 2 'L' shaped rods that I could thread in and hit the 'L'
with a hammer?
