Re: 727 rebuild



John,
   That 77 shop manual is out of date for us with the newfangled
78-79-80 Scouts. My shop manual states that flushing is impossible as
the drain plug as been eliminated and flushing is not possible. So,
again, I ask, do I replace my converter? I don't know yet if the oil is
contaminated or burnt. It doesn't look like it  on the dipstick,
however, I won't know until tommorrow night.
   Does anyone think it would be possible to drill and tap the converter
for a drain plug?
