Caster shims and wheel spacers

Looks like I'm going to be making up a set of lift shackles out of 1/4 in.
stock. Thus, I'm wondering where exactly I can get some caster shims. I
haven't the slightest idea. Also, I think I'm going to space the front wheels
out about 1/2 in. with some spacers. This mayb require the removal of old
studs and installation of new longer studs. What does this entail? Thanks,
