The last set of heads I had done was about a year ago.

The shop tanked the heads, put in hardened seats, cut the spring pockets
oversize, 3 angle valve job, new valve springs, 2 new guides, new tulip style
valve seals.

He reused my valves.  32 used valves to make 1 good set of heads.

This was on a 354 Chrysler Hemi Motor.  The heads are a little bigger than an
IH head.

The bill was $285.00, I am located in Southern NY state.

This was a very good price as I have been working with this same shop for a lot
of years, and the Job was brought in as fill in work.

As in I did not  need the heads  for a while, I told them to do it when you get
to it.  So they were done when he was slow.  Took about 6 weeeks to get them
back.

Out here a quicky valve job on a small block chevy runs 350 to 400.00, anything
else is higher.

If the shop had to put in some new valves 400.00 would be very reasonable.
