HELP...flooding problems

Hi all,
I've been having bad problems with my Scout II flooding lately.  It's a
304, motorcraft 2bbl., auto choke. It seems that when I adjust the choke
it either is too lean and dies or just the opposite, too rich and
floods.  But there seems to be no place inbetween.
any suggestions?
