   I think you missed something Owen posted:  whether you use
that rubber thing in your plug socket or not, check for a cracked
plug insulator.  My Dad did this recently on his boat, and it
was way down on power, backfired, wtc, but it would idle fine.
I found three cracked plugs when we got home.  When did this start,
just after changing all those parts?
