Ha to thoes who said it couldnt be done.

Well Gang I have just proved another IH theory wrong. Dont ya just love it
when someone says you cant do that or that cant be done and you say go look
at my Binder outside and you will see that it can and has been done. Ahhhh
only in a Scout!!

Well I just figured I would put the tires off my Travler BFG 33-9.50-15s on
my **STOCK** Scout 800 with original springs. Whoever said that 33s would
not fit on a Scout 800 without a lift better stop telling people that. It
looks good drives good and gosh darnit people like it. I have been wanting
to do this since Mowsco Mt. got the best of me last weekend and I need
better gas milage accross the state for the holidays. I highcentered on the
mountain with a buddie and a Cute Girl I am starting to see and guess what
she was cool as ice...no whinning or nothing. I got the highlift out and
jacked it up and put it in reverse and away we went. Anyhow the 27 inch
tires were too small so I added 8 inches of tire.

It fits folks. The one thing I have noticed so far is that the factory
routed exhaust that goes outside the framerail on the passenger side rubes
on hard cornering (soon to be redone anyhow) and the passenger rear is
bumping something. I would have to say that on a street light trail rig it
would be fine but off road I think It would stuff up and rub a bit. I plan
on putting on a set of my beefy shackles and see what that does to alievate
the minor rubbing. I could manderize it with the grinder and hacksaw and
hammer but I dont want to do that.

If worse comes to worse I will put the 31-10.50-15 BFG Mud T/As shackles
and call it good as it is my parts getter/ company advertisment (16-20
mpg)rig and will not see major trail use (thats for the 800 on Scout 2
frame project).

Well talk at ya later and I will keep ya posted.
