Hey, 
It was on the new one!  It had already been "disabled" via a braze job on the top, but then it rotted at the base and it broke free from the manifold when I was doing 70 on the highway.  I figured the guy that owned it before never ran it that fast.  No big loss, a good excuse to get a set of Stan's chrome Tri Y's on there.<bg>
Ya know, I'm saying it was the EGR, but it was the little doodad on the top of the left bank exhaust manifold, it may be something else?
