Jeff:
  Have you checked any local street rod shops?They usually carry the
steering u-joints made specifically for steering.  If not, just pick up
a copy of Street Rodder magazine and check the ads.  There are a few
different sizes, and sections of 'D' or splined shaft available, along with
support bearings and the like.  Some rods REALLY have the steering
snaked around a big V-8 that was not even a gleam in the engineer's
eye back in the 30's, when the body/frame were built.

Note:  I guess this is in case you can't find a "Speed Shop", as
Street Rod shops are clearly more plentiful. ;)
