A clarification.
I was allways told as a child and truely believe that the only stupid
question is the one not asked.
I did not know a few things about my truck, I asked a question figuring that
someone here might have experience that i do not.
I was offered a camper for what I thought was a good price. I was
questioning the wisdom of using it. I decided that asking here was a good
idea.
It seems to me that I have been berated for asking a question. I do not have
a death wish as evidenced in the fact that I have asked before I have
purchased.
Howard in his first reply seemed to indicate that more info was needed to
properly answer my question, I provided the info as best I had it.
OK so now I have two opinions against and one for. I was leaning on the
against before I asked. SO as for the camper that is out.
I still need to know roughly what ride height my IHC should have, and how to
measure it. I am asking what experience if any does anyone have with the IHC
torsion bars, should I try to track down new ones before I raise the
suspension to correct thirty years of sagging?
I, along with ride height, also need to know alignment specs to have my
front end alignment done properly once and for all.
As for the longer box I have. I do not really use my IHC for anything heavy
very often. I like having a short box truck, it looks good and drives well.
My goal is to end up with a might as well be a new truck. I do not off road
with it, I haul some lumber and car parts with it now and then, but
otherwise I really do not need a long box truck. I like my little IHC Hot
Rod.
All of that having been said, DOes anyone know where I might get a 7 ft box
or at least replacement panels for my box.
The body guy I talked to is afraid that cutting down the 8 ft box I got is
too much for him to handle
Thanks
