Folks,
Tell me why an open knuckle front axle allows a tighter turning 
radius than an equivalent closed knuckle design.  To me, the Scout2 
has a rather tight turning circle but what I really want to know 
....is this a tight turning circle in comparison to other trucks?  

The above assumes that I know what a closed knuckle is ... that being 
a swivel ball design which encases a UJ and contains oil (mostly) 
Correct me if I need correcting.  Mark

PS.  What are the pros and cons of open vs closed designs???
