Dennis,

I know of no problem (corrosion wise) using stainless fasteners with steel.
However, stainless fittings next to aluminum can sometimes create a corrosion
issue and are not always recommended.

The only warning I'd like to offer is to use anti-seize lubricant on *all*
stainless steel fittings. Depending on the grade of stainless used, the
threads are prone to easy galling and seizure. I learned from the maintenance
department where I work that this is a common occurrence with stainless
fasteners. It can be mostly avoided by routine use of anti-seize lubricant on
the threads.
