Gas Mileage

Well, after considerable farting around with old carburetors I finally
broke down and bought a professionally rebuild one.  I just got it on
last Thursday and did not drive it to the Nat's for a number of reasons
(one big one being I didn't want to hear my wife whining about how
uncomfortable the seats in my truck are).

After getting the last manual Super Scouts Specialists had for the 75
Pickup I was able to go through all the vacuum hoses and get them all
hooked up correctly (I think.)  It's running pretty well now and I was
able to get a air cleaner from Jerry Muncie last night.  

What astounded me was the gas mileage results from the trip back.  80
miles on 5-6 gallons of gas.  13-16 MPG, not bad for a 23 year old
truck.

Looking forward to the Nationals next year, when we will be driving the
truck out.
