Paul,
Personal opinion.
I tried a set of 33's and didn't like them at all. I then tried a set of
32 X 12.50's (Mickey Thompsons) and didn't like them at all. They rubbed
the inner panels any time I got on a tilt in spite of a 4 inch lift and
longer shackles.

The 31 X 10.50's I have now and had before are just right for me, and I
don't have nearly as high ratio R and P's as you have. If I were driving
a lot on the road as you are, I'd probably be glad I had the high ratio
rear ends. Mine is a 3.73. Probably about perfect for the 31's with the
727 auto. Not wanting to start another war, this gives me good climbing
power with the torque multiplication at pre-crawl speeds, good easy speed
on the road, and about as good gas mileage as can be expected. I would
like the D 300 transfer case, but maybe this is mostly because then I
could say I had it. For the most part, my Scout will go anywhere it will
fit. There are, of course lots of places it won't fit.

Don't know anything about the rest of your questions, so won't give you
wrong answers.
John H.
