Easy out removal

This from an old gunsmith, me. Easy outs are very hard and very brittle. 
Usually they can be busted apart by a chisel and hammer blows. Also, a 
cutting torch will, because of their very high carbon content burn them 
out while leaving surrounding metal pretty much intact. Try breaking it 
up.
