Pertronix for 6 Volt Systems?

Are *all* these 12 volt systems?  Let's start with will the Pertronix work
on a 6 volt system?  Does anyone know?  Or, if enuf of us with 6 volt
cars/boats called 'em could they modify one of their 12 volt circuits to work?
