Re: Food at Monroe & parts
Doug:
I only wanted to know because there apparently is a bunch of us that are
going to be coming up from California that haven't been there before. We
needed to have some idea of what types of lodging, food, etc. was
available, so we could make appropriate plans.
Sounds like food is easy, even for our potluck BBQ if enough people
bring BBQs and briquets. We can camp on site or stay at a local motel.
There will be toilets on site, but showers are at motels, RVs and maybe
a sunshower or two. :-)
I told Hofstetter that I looked in my Woodall's camping guide for RV
parks in Monroe and found none. The closest one I found was about 15
miles east of Monroe (I forget the city) and it was a FAMILY NUDIST
RESORT! So, I got to thinking that Monroe might be a two horse town and
we'd either have to drive back and forth from a motel in Bothel or
something or camp at the site but not take a shower for three days.
I'am glad that so many responded with all the details so that we can
make appropriate plans. I'm only sorry that I won't be taking my
motorhome because then I can't take my Terra (not enough time to get
towbar hooked up and braking system working).
But I can say, I'm looking foward to it more than ever now and need to
get with Michael and coordianate our trip up there.
Michael, "have you got your ears on?".
