questions

I got my 71 running and on the road today. It passed inspection with
little trouble. I haven't had a chance to play with the tuning yet, but
it is running with no problems. Also, the starting problem I had seems
to be gone.
All of this is due to Mr. John Landry. He sent me his spare 2210C
carb that bolted in with little problem. I had to modify the fuel inlet
with a brass 90 deg fitting and some rubber hose.
My questions are this, I need to get the choke hooked up some how. I
don't have the divorsed choke set-up on my 71 304 intake, I have a
manual choke that is now to short to reach around the other side of the
carb. Is there some way to rig this cable to work? How difficult is it
to replace the cable on my choke? Can I put a new cable on my choke
knob? I don't wan't to change the knob and stuff because it matches.
Where can I buy the steering box brace? Does Super Scout Specialist
carry it? I need to put it on the 71 with the new power steering box.
