Ultra High Mileage Data

Hey,

On the subject of mileage, I posting this chart that I found last year.
Would this be an acceptable entry into the faq?  It was copied without
permission from the "Premier Winter Issue 1990" of 
_International_Happenings_ published by The Scout and IH Light Truck 
Association.  I believe it to be in the public domain (however, I am 
grateful to them for making it available).  If I'm wrong, please let 
me know.


The following chart might help you plan how to get better mileage.
A few thoughts:
    - 2.72 gears will help in both city & highway (but will actually
      hurt you if you live around mountains)
    - The difference between diesel & gas is much smaller if you
      do mainly highway driving.
    - The 345 gets better mileage than the 304
