I haven't put my '67 Scout on a scale but I'd guess that it weighs 3500
maybe 3600 lbs.  The 4700 pounds you see on the VIN plaque is the gross
vehicle weight.  The most the truck could weight without overloading the
springs. It will hold more, but after 4700 the warranty is void :)
