Harvesters,

This weekend I was reminded of one of the best tools to own for working
on an 18 year old + scout. (Probably as good as a gas wrench <bg>) I
had to remove my step bumper this weekend to mount the fuel tank, and do
some painting. After repeated soakings with liquid wrench, the bolts
would not budge. Then I remembered about THE tool. I got out my nut
splitters (not this is not something you would do off of a highdive . .
. same name though <vbg>). You just put the nut splitter on the
offending nut and use you wrench or impact driver and go to town. I
figured even if I did wrench the nut off the regular way, there was no
way I was going to use 22 year old corroded nuts and bolts again. Just
my $0.02 worth.

Also it saved me an hour or two of precious Scout time which the wife
referes to as screwing around in the garage.

"The end does not justify the means"
of screwing around with those bolts, thats worth the price of these
things already.
