Andrew,
   Jacobs Electronics sells a voltage / clean power converter for
about $200. This thing puts out a constant unwavering 12 volts at all
times even when your battery drops as low as 9 volts.
   But if that is to expensive for your wallet, try replacing the wire
from your alternator to the starter with a larger size. Or if you don't
mind loosing your amp meter you could run a 6 or 4 gauge wire from the
alt directly to your battery. This would remove any and all lose from
dirty conections and old wiring.
