From one fellow Montanan to another, don't discount the oxegenated gas with
all the special additives here.  If you are really concerned about it being
sugar, don't let it run through any where that it hasn't already.  Drain the
tank as close to its outlet as possible and get the carb dried out without
running any gas through it.  I have seen a "sugared" carb before and they
don't come clean.  The sugar reacts with the gasoline and becomes the worst
residue I have ever seen.  On the other hand, I have also seen a lot of tanks
full of that oxygenated winter fuel and it will also leave dark brown trails
if a little water *condensation* gets mixed in, especially in the neck as it
drips back down.  My $1.02.
