Re: My scout runs again-sort of



This sounds a lot like what I was going through with my Travelall.  IT
would idle fine and if you SLOWLY pushed ont he gas it would get going ok,
But if you applied the gas at any sort of quick rate (like you need to to
acceralate on roads)  It would backfire, sputter, cough, wheeze and all
that - the timeing kept going off too.

So my advice is......  CHECK THE POINTS!!!!!!!!! *I wanted to sound
dramatic :)

I am serious though, I did TONS of tuneup stuff except the points (cause I
thought that points were hard to do) and it still ran crappy (well it ran
a little better but not enough)  Then I broke down and got a book and went
to the points and it runs fine now.
