More Compressor thoughts

Someone please refresh my memory on "SCFM" Standard CFM ratings..

Saw a "#4" class Campbell Hausfield compressor at the hardware store.. seems
to me it said it had a 6 SCFM rating.. 

What's the "standard" part of the CFM?  And how would I convert the "CFM"
rating (of ~6CFM at 1000rpm engine speed) into a "Standard" CFM rating?  (I
imagine it has to do with the PSI delivery, or temperature, or.. ?)
