Edelbrock adaptors
OK. I thought I had it all worked out, but I've been thrown a curve.
I emailed Edelbrock with the question about which adaptors to use to mount
a 500 cfm Edelbrock Performer to my stock manifold. After a couple of days,
I got tired of waiting and called them. Based on the current configuration
(Holley 650 cfm mechanical secondary double pumper spreadbore, no adaptor)
they recommended the 2696 adaptor for the Edelbrock.
Today I finally got an answer to my email which follows:
> You will need an adapter, but not the Edelbrock #2696. The #2696 is to be
> used on stock GM Q-jet or Chrysler Thermoquad intake manifolds. You have
> neither one. You intake should have a Motorcraft spreadbore design which is
> totally different. You will need to contact TD Products (Trans-Dapt) at
> 310/921-0404, they are the only ones that will possbily offer an adapter.
> The proper heat insulator from Edelbrock is #9266.
So, if anyone has any first-hand experience, please let me know which one
seems correct.
Thanks
