Close vs. Wide

I have a wide box t-19 out of a 73 ton truck.  I was wondering if I could
put the output shaft from my scout t-19 close ratio transmission into the
t-19 from the truck so that it would mate with my dana 20.  Basically is the
output shaft the same between the close and wide ratio transmissions.  I
understand that it is different between the truck and the scout.
