I don't like the idea of grinding out the hub circle as I believe that 
this is where the drum is kept from wobbling around on the oversize lug 
studs. Once you get the hubs off, you can put Never-Seize on them and 
they'll come off easy next time. I built a puller for my drums that looks 
like an oversize gear puller. I use it to put some pressure on the drum 
and then smack it really hard near but not on the hub circle. Works OK 
but still isn't real easy. I used to have someone with two pry bars put 
some leverage between the backing plate and the drum and then smack it 
near the hub circle. Sometimes worked but can't pry too hard agaist the 
backing plate.
