Strange things, man...

I put my new throttle cable on yesterday, got up this morning and finished
putting fresh dope in my TRUCK'S rearend, pulled my rear drums to check on
a strange sound (which turned out to be one of the pieces not seated
properly- whew, big relief), buttoned everything up, and fired it up for
the first time in a couple of weeks.

Strange thing? No more hesitation when I hit the gas, and nice, smooth
pedal operation (of course, THIS part makes sense even to me). I can nail
it from a standstill and it goes- RIGHT NOW! Could the old throttle cable,
which was in poor shape down it's length, have really caused hesitation
problems? Anyway, it's strange not having to pat the pedal a little to get
it going good, and I hope it keeps it up and that it's not just some
strange atmospheric phenomenon that takes place only on Thanksgiving.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and may you travel to and from your
destinations in safety.
