Toy scouts
Metal toy Scouts were manufactured by tru-scale and Ertl. The tru Scale
version was the scout 80. Some of them came with a snow plow or trailer,
not real common and always seem expensive when I have seen them. The
Ertl scout is a die cast 800. Ihave seen them in a variety of colors. I
have one that is an exact miniature of my green 800. They also made
travelers and terras in the late 70's. Structo made a toy that looked an
awful lot like the scout as far as door openings and general shape, but
was never labeled as a scout, while the others were. John Glancy at SSS
has just about every Scout toy ever made. His collection is quite
impressive.
