OEM Horns

I know this is trivial, but the horn on my Scout II didn't seem to be very
loud, so I checked it and found the "High" note horn was not working. I
pulled the High note horn of my parts rig and found it was dead as well, but
the Low note horn was o.k. Now I have two low note horns which are
definitely louder than before. Is there anything about having one of each
type being more effective that would be worth it to track down a high note
horn? Is there something about the high note horn that is weaker/more
susceptible to failure or are the two dead high notes just concidence?

As an aside, my parts manual lists a variation for code 08727 [which must be
for the electrical system]. Then fig 08-037 lists one horn and a "switch,
high and low note". Has anyone ever seen such a Scout II with such a
switch? Where would it have been located? Can it change the pitch of one
horn or does it switch between two horns? The parts manual refers codes
08000 [on my LST] and 08540 to fig 08-012 which lists two horns [a high and
a low note] and a relay not shown in fig 08-037.

Have a good weekend everyone, Mike
