Heat/AC

Does anyone have some detailed info or drawings of the heater/AC system in a
533i.
The Bentley manual has limited info. BMW dealers only show the unit as an
assembly.
I am getting heat on my feet all the time.
Suspicious that the heat valve is not closing all the way.
Would like to understand the doors and flaps for air flow and how they work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
