Adding kerosine or diesel to your oil until the next change is OK, but 
only if your next change is the same day. Warm the car up fully, let it 
run for 10 minutes at fast idle, maybe drive a few miles at mid RPM, 
light throttle then drain. Better than kerosine is Risolone in the quart 
can.

The major cause of sludged engines, in my experience, is not long oil 
changes but overcooling. You need to get that thermostat fixed right away. 
There is no excuse to ever let a motor run too cold, and removing the 
'stat won't make an overheating engine run cooler.

And a full bottle of Redline injection cleaner in your tank would be good
too, followed by an oil change. So I suggest that you fix your thermostat,
add the Redline to a full tank, drive until the tank is near empty, do the
Risolone, then change oil.
